The University has substantially decreased the number of students who can live in our residence halls. We will do our best to provide housing for those students who meet one or more of the criteria; however, eligibility under the criteria does not guarantee on-campus housing, and changing circumstances may require additional restrictions. Handshake - Residence Hall Front Desk Assistant - Residence Life – WSU
Thanks for your interest in the Desk Assistant position with the Department of Housing and Residence Life for next academic year. Students who are interested in working for the Department of Housing and Residence Life as a Residence Hall Front Desk Assistant during the 2019-2020 school year should fill out an application which can be found linked on our Handshake job posting. Our review and scoring of applications will occur as they are submitted. Initial hiring and position offers will take place in late July/early August and will continue on a rolling basis through fall semester. Applications will be kept on file until the end of the 2019-2020 academic year. Openings may occur throughout the year, but on a very limited basis.
Residence Life Desk Assistants are responsible for providing customer service to residents and guests of our buildings and completing administrative tasks as assigned. Tasks include but are not limited to sorting mail, inventorying supplies, completing paperwork, checking in and out supplies, and communicating with residents.
You must be a WSU student to be a Desk Assistant. The normal business hours for the desk are Monday through Friday from 8:00am to 7:00pm, open until 9:00pm on Wednesdays, and Saturday/Sunday from 10:00am to 7:00pm.
